Transport Apart from the airports at Barcelona and Valencia there is also the airport at Reus (near Tarragona), which is about a 40-60 minutes drive away. The development of the new Castellon airport has been delayed and it is now due to open in 2008. This will cut the transfer time to around half an hour. Trains to Valencia and Barcelona go from Vinaros and Benicarlo. The trip to Barcelona takes around two hours (by car or train), to Valencia it is about one and a half hours. Thanks to excellent train and motorway-links the Costa Azahar is therefore a convenient location for day trips to Barcelona and Valencia as well as for short-trips to France or skiing-holidays, i.e. in Andorra.
